Popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari Saturday walked away with the crown of Bigg Boss 4 and the prize money of Rs.1 crore at a grand finale here After 14 weeks of staying within closed boundaries, without any connection with the outside world, and surviving politics, cat fights and eliminations. Shah Rukh Khan Set For Small Screen Return With Zor Ka Jhatka

SRK TO HOST REALITY SHOW BASED ON AMERICAN WIPEOUT ON IMAGINE TV: Sharrukh Khan will return to television with another ‘family’ show Zor Ka Jhatka. He says the show mirrors his belief that “we should face trouble in life with a bit of humour”. ZKJ, which will be aired on Imagine, follows the format of the US show Wipeout.

Twenty-eight celebrity contestants will try to finish an extremely funny and difficult obstacle race, by climbing huge balls and standing on rolling logs, while SRK plays narrator, guru and commentator.

The actor admits that it is tricky to make viewers laugh at other people doing silly things like falling into mud without making a mockery of the contestants. “I will do my commentary well and hope that people will laugh. I know that sometimes people get offended by what I say. It is possible that this will happen with this show too, and if it does, we will apologise,” he said.

However, SRK has not yet tried the obstacle course which has been set up in Argentina. “I would like to try it. I will take my children along in January,” he said.

He is not worried about comparisons with Khatron Ke Khiladi though both had celebs doing stunts. “There are no snakes and insects here. KKK is a fantastic show, but in that show, you had to face danger with fear. Here you overcome obstacles with laughter,” he points out.

He also said that this show was about more than physical ability. “There are physically fit and physically very unfit people on the show. But being physically fit will not necessarily mean you win this. You don’t need to be a daredevil, just a madcap. You have to leap before you think. There’s also an element of luck because it is an obstacle course — there will be times when certain things go your way and times when they don’t. A lot of macho men will make a fool of themselves,” he revealed.

Pony Verma, who was a judge on Chak Dhoom Dhoom, and has worked with Khan on various international shows, has choreographed the one-and-a-half minute video and Milan Luthria has directed it. Khan has been styled by Ashley Rebello.

“It features Salman grooving with girls. We’ve tried not to give him too many difficult dance moves because his attitude does it all. Even if he moves around in the frame, looking into the camera with a smile, it works,” beams Verma.

Wouldn’t it have been better to have all the contestants of the show featuring in the video? “But that would have given out everything from the show right now. We managed well with the girl dancers. Salman looks chilled out too. I couldn’t have asked for more,” asserts Verma.

The video will be on air from next Sunday, September 26, till the season ends this year. It’s expected to be aired on music channels too.

Sreeram Chandra Wins Indian Idol 5 on Sony TV

Mumbai: Hyderabad-based Sreeram Chandra has won the fifth season of music reality show "Indian Idol". He was announced the winner by megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The 24-year-old singer pipped Rakesh Maini from Agra and Bhoomi Trivedi of Baroda to win the contest. Sreeram has been consistently performing well on the show and receiving compliments galore from the Who's Who of the Indian music industry.

His victory on the show has landed him Rs. 5 million cash, one-year contract with Sony BMG, a Tata Winger car, and for the first time, a chance to sing a song in a Yash Raj Films' project.

For Sreeram, winning the title on India's Independence Day is a special feat.

Before winning the title, Sreeram said, "Independence Day has always been important. If I win, I will feel lucky that I have received my identity on a day when my country celebrates its independence. For the rest of my life I will celebrate this day as my victory day."

Sreeram has already recorded a song with Shreya Ghoshal for an upcoming movie, music of which has been composed by Salim-Suleman.The earlier winners of the show were Abhijeet Sawant, Sandeep Acharya, Prashant Tamang and Sourabhee Debbarma.

Priyanka's grungy look revealed - She's all set to distract the male contestants on the reality show 'Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi 3'


After showcasing her svelte figure in films like 'Fashion' and 'Dostana', Priyanka Chopra is set to sport a grungy look to host Colors' adventure reality show 'Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi 3'.

The 28-year-old actress wore denim hot pants teamed with a broad belt, knee-length boots, a cropped yellow top with a black leather biker jacket and gloves for the first promo.

Her look has been created by Bollywood stylist and fashion designer Anaita Shroff Adajania, who earlier styled for the 'Dhoom' franchise as well as 'Race'.

'Khatron Ke Khiladi 3' will have 13 male celebrities competing against each other on dangerous tasks in Brazil.

And Priyanka is looking forward to providing a huge distraction to the male contestants. "That's what my intention is. To make them so distracted they won't be able to do their stunts," she says.

Priyanka, who's just returned from shooting the stunts in Bangkok, says she's super-excited. "I rode a dirt bike. I shot with an alligator and a bull. It was fun."

After a rejuvenating birthday holiday in Phuket, Priyanka flew to Bangkok to shoot the promotional video for the reality show.

About the holiday, Priyanka says: "Apart from the mishap that happened when I dropped my phone in the water and couldn't receive any birthday greetings, I had a fun time."

"I was generally not recognised. But even if I was I didn't mind. Being recognised is part and parcel of what I do," she says.

The stunts involved a motorbike race where Priyanka challenged a group of youngsters to a race through terrain that would scare even a Grand Prix winner.

She had to ride through some of the most impossibly-rugged terrain. The male motorbikers were professional riders who can ride at high speed through the most rugged hinterland, according to crew members.

The actress had been secretly practising for the heart-in-the-mouth motorbike stunts for weeks.

The channel had offered to get a body-double to do the really intricate portions. But Priyanka insisted on doing the entire motorbike stunt-stint on her own.

So excited and charged did she get that she shot for a full 20 hours on the first of the two days of shooting in Bangkok.

"There is no challenge in half-measures. You either do the whole thing or don't do it at all. I've always been fascinated by mobikes. I love mobike stunts," she says.

"When I had seen Tom Cruise do the mobike stunts first, all I thought was, 'Gawd if only I could get to do that.' I guess my wish came true," she adds.

The ride was not all fun and games. Priyanka has returned to Mumbai with quite a number of bruises. "But the pain was worth it. You can't be one of the boys on the bike and not get your share of bruises," she says.

The first look is expected to air on the channel early next week. It shows Priyanka in a chase sequence on bikes with male bikers.

She intends to wrap up all her assignments by October before heading for the shooting of 'Don 2' in Berlin.

Mumbai: Actress Vidya Malavade, who interviewed superstar Salman Khan for an Episode of STAR CINTAA Superstars Ka Jalwa was completely floored by the actor`s grace and politeness.


"Salman was extremely gracious and polite. Initially I was intimidated by his persona, but he is a real soft hearted person. I was in fact floored by his charm and wit. It was like a dream come true for me since I had always wanted to work with him and I am a huge fan of his," said Vidya.

The episode featuring flamboyant Rahul trapped between two females will be aired Friday 11 p.m.

"Rahul is the most loving and caring husband and extremely dependable. Now all those people who doubted his integrity can see for themselves, " she said.

Dimpy had pipped 14 contestants and over 16, 500 applicants on Imagine TV's "Rahul Dulhania Le Jaayega" to marry Rahul, son of late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan.

The young model is enjoying every bit of her married life and says she wants to "take it easy" on the professional front.

"This is our courtship period since we didn't get too much time alone before we get married. We're still exploring new things about each other and want to enjoy this time. So I want to take my time to (start) work, " she said.
