Bollywood Stars at Triumph's Autumn Winter Collection

The Event: Triumph's Autumn Winter Collection
Date and Venue: Friday November 7, Hotel Tulip Star, Juhu
They chose a forgotten venue to put together this unforgettable show, Triumphs Thorsten Allenstein and choregraphed by Farah Khan. The massive glittering set was lit up further when an army of beautiful lingerie clad models breezedn to pulsating music that swept across genre.

When director Farah Khan beckons, B-Town follows. So when she was roped in to direct a show for Triumph lingerie, all of B-Town showed up to cheer her.

Thorsten Allenstein of Triumph, says, "We wanted the show to have an international concept with a dose of Mumbai masala. Farah fitted the bill."

Farah adds, "The grand scale of the show really excited. I know that there's a stigma attached to a lingerie brand show but it was a classy and spectacular event."

Overwhelmed
The director is overwhelmed by all her friends from the industry who showed up to support her show, "I was touched especially with Sush-mita and Mallika Sherawat turning up, as they make rare appearances. Shah Rukh was shooting for Rab De but he asked me after pack-up, if he could still come. But by that time, the show was over, so I advised him not to."She says she had a big scale for the show because of Karan Johar, "He always used to shout at me that I don't give scale to my songs so I guess I have learnt that from him. It meant a lot that Karan, who was attending Pooja Shetty's mehndi dressed in an Indian outfit, went home, changed and came specially for my show."

Juicy tidbits
Sharmilla Khanna and Bhavna Pandey organised the delicious menu which had everything from duck to pork, chicken, prawns, paneer, paté and wine.

Mallika Sherawat looked stunning in her little black Dolce & Gabbana dress, with white Chanel shoes.Karan Johar (Shah Rukh Khan's best friend) and Sajid Nadiadwala (Salman Khan's best friend) initially looked coldly at each other but in the presence of many had no choice but to hug each other.Farah's husband Shirish Kunder looked dapper in a hat. Nadiadwala and he appear to have forgotten their Jaan-E-Mann woes as both were seen chatting away merrily.

Hrithik Roshan's wife Sussanne wore a teeny blue number (we like it, Sue!). Malaika Arora Khan, was out of town but hubby Arbaaz attended with sister Arpita and Alvira.

Chunky Pandey was seen arguing with one of the presenters when asked to quit smoking at the venue."Vivek Oberoi had a blast. He told us later, "I loved the show. I think Farah did a great job! I loved the combination of the Nashik dhols with the girls in lingerie — a very unexpected and interesting mix."Harman Baweja came with Amrita Rao (and not good friend, Priyanka Chopra). Farah was heard ribbing Harman that he and Amrita had deliberately come together to promote their film Victory.

Priety Zinta With Ness Wadia

Slippery: Priety Zinta played bahu-to-be to the hilt when she made an appearance with longtime beau Ness Wadia at a party for Zubin Mehta. We do wish she'd ditched those chappals for some sexy heels though!

Images From The Premiere of Drona

A Birdie tells that that Amitabh Bachchan personally called everyone for the Drona premiere — specially people who were not invited to the AbhiAsh shaadi. And the entire industry did show up. Even Shah Rukh Khan was present, with his entire parivaar. While all couples walked in together, Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja continued with their 'good friends' act (yawn!) The stunner of the evening was undoubtedly Sonali Bendre. Buzz was that Bachchan loyalist Ram Gopal Varma was not invited but the Phoonk director was, and couldn't make it as he was in Hyderabad.

That's cruelty!
Mean, mean, mean. An actor who recently saw Drona says, "They have a disclaimer before the beginning of the film that says that no animals have been hurt during the filming of this film, but the horse that Abhishek Bachchan sits on looks in pain. My fingers itched to call SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty of Animals)." Now we want to call SPCA too — Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Abhishek.

‘FASHION’ABLY ROCKING: Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal

TOEING THE LINE: Sajid Khan and Preity Zinta lead the way for Riteish Deshmukh, who limped in with a hurt toe

Let’s do the twist: Preity Zinta and Riteish Deshmukh

SHEER STYLE: Preity Zinta is one of the few fashionistas in Bollywood who can swing from western couture to ethnic Indian effortlessly. The saree did nothing for her in The Last Lear; we can't say the same for her now though

Sonam Kapoor: Lovely Smile

ODD COUPLE: Ash is suitably accessorised by a dapper Abhishek. (He takes the attention off her blue disaster. Why did you want to match your steps with ma-in-law, Ash?)

THE BLACK PARADE: Gauri, Aryan, Shah Rukh and Suhana Khan

OH, MA: The Umrao Jaan empire line of kurtas are not for you, Jaya

GREEN MILES: Twinkle Khanna turns up powder fresh and as chic as ever

We were there too!
