A Look At Dabboo Ratnani's 2011 Calendar Photographs, Images

Dabboo Ratnani’s annual ritual — the unveiling of his calendar — takes place tomorrow (January 6th 2011). Dabboo Ratnani talks about his much awaited calendar for 2011. This is the Bollywood photographer’s 12th year of capturing tinsel town for his trademark almanac.

“ There is no particular theme for the calendar like last year which was entirely in black and white. This time I have kept it freestyle with lots of colour, unusual outdoor locations, natural light and high fashion,” explains the celebrity snapper. Full of life He adds, “ There is a flavour of Mumbai to it and the snapshots are full of life. There are hardcore bodies as well as sexy images. Each picture tells its own story and has its own theme.”

The 2011 calendar includes AMITABH BACHCHAN, SHAH RUKH KHAN, SALMAN KHAN, SAIF ALI KHAN, HRITHIK ROSHAN, RANBIR KAPOOR, AJAY DEVGN, AKSHAY KUMAR, ABHISHEK BACHCHAN, ABHAY DEOL, FARHAN AKHTAR, ARJUN RAMPAL, KATRINA KAIF, KAREENA KAPOOR, KAJOL, PRIYANKA CHOPRA, DEEPIKA PADUKONE, AISHWARYA RAI, BIPASHA BASU, MALLIKA SHERAWAT, VIDYA BALAN, ASIN, GENELIA D’SOUZA, SONAKSHI SINHA.

Though Dabboo interacts with the stars for their shoots for mags, films and portfolios throughout the year, they specially remove time for his date diary. The shoot provides the stars a platform to experiment with their looks and styling.

He begins works months in advance and though there are many takers, he is not tempted to sell the calendar — his work is only for private circulation especially among B- Town folk.

Hunt for the Kingfisher Calender Girl 2011: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and Sidhartha Mallya, the owner of Kingfisher Airlines, judged models for the Kingfisher Calendar 2011 in Mumbai on October 26. The scion to a leading liquor business empire, Siddharth Mallya made sure his gal, actress Deepika Padukone looked her best as they made their way to a suburban five-star, where they would judge 15 girls vying to be a calendar girl on the Mallyas' prestigious annual swimsuit calendar.

Many aspiring models took part in the contest with the hope of appearing in the limited edition Kingfisher swimsuit calendar.

This year, too, ace lensman Atul Kasbekar will shoot the entire calendar.

Padukone said models have to be not only good-looking, but also intelligent. "I think apart from just a great body and a great face, it's also very important for the girls to be smart, witty and intelligent, because at the end of the day it's not just the way you look, I think it's the entire package. And I think that's what really takes one forward in life, if you really want to become successful. So I am looking for someone who is, you know, not just good looking but also very, very intelligent," said Padukone.

Mallya said that it was one of the biggest platforms for aspiring models. He also complimented the models, saying they were bold and beautiful.

In addition to Deepika, Sidhartha and Kasbekar, Milind Soman was also on the judging panel. "My company, Face Entertainment is the co-producer, so I'm also playing judge at this Kingfisher 2011 Calendar Girl Hunt," he said.

The calendar, introduced in 2003, was the first of its kind in India, and promises twelve months of glamour and visual appeal. Padukone added that she had also been a part of the calendar and empathised with the aspiring calendar girls.

"When I was there in the calendar, there was no hunt for the girls. I think I was just lucky that I had already started modelling and these people (Kasbekar) noticed me and I was a part of the calendar. I think I am really fortunate that till today I have never really been part of a contest or never been part of a Miss India. So I think somewhere I feel a lot of, I mean, I feel nervous for these girls because I know what it feels like to sort of go through judges, and to be judged for the way you look and things like that. So, it's definitely tough on them," added Padukone.

Kingfisher's Calendar Bikini Girls For 2011 Edition.

Hot Babes on Calender: See Vijay Mallya's models in bikini. The new year is just a few months away. And the Kingfisher team has got into action selecting calendar girls for their 2011 edition.

To be a Kingfisher Calendar girl, all the models have to to meet the criteria. Will these models make it?

The model must have the height - at least 5'6".

The model must flaunt the right attitude.

The last but not the least a great and lean body with long legs.

Last year, Himarsha Venkatsamy won the Kingfisher model contest.

This year Atul Kasbekar is behind the lenses.

Mandira Bedi and Atul Kasbekar would be deciding the fate of all the girls auditioning for the calendar all the way from Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
