Hrithik Roshan Unveils His Wax Statue At Madame Tussauds

Hrithink Roshan came face to face with his wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London on 20th January 2011. It is shown in a short-sleeved, button-down shirt, displaying his body.

"I can not believe I’m here, revealing Madame Tussauds wax figure of myself ’s amazing how detailed the picture is – they are really sticking to my show I am truly honored to be involved and hopefully my fans will like seeing the number." Hrithik said in a statement.

To celebrate wife Sussanne's birthday, Hrithik Roshan held a Halloween-themed party last night as per her wishes at their Juhu home. This is the first time any B-Town star has held such a bash. Here's a look.

The bash was held so as to celebrate Sussanne's birthday a day earlier as tomorrow (25th oct 2010) is Karva Chauth (a festival observed by married women where they fast all day as they believe it will ensure their husband prosperity and a long life).

Revealed a source, "The guests were asked to come in standard horror outfits such as ghosts, ghouls or witches or in any other costume they fancy."

Said Hrithik on Sunday night, "All I can say is that she's the only one who could have pulled this off! Because you just don't wanna say 'no' to Sussanne! Everyone's dressing up, it's going to be fun! I feel like I'm in school again!"

Regulars on the Roshan guestlist didn't make it. Hrithik's close buddy Shah Rukh Khan is shooting for Don 2 in Berlin along with Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta.

Duggu's director friend Farhan Akhtar is in Berlin for the same reason. Sussanne's brother Zayed is in London shooting for Tez.

Malaika and Arbaaz Khan are on holiday in Bangkok while Kangna Ranaut is in Paris for the same reason. Twinkle is unwell and gave the do a miss. Katrina Kaif is in Patiala shooting for a film. Shilpa Shetty is in Chennai.

Mrs SRK attended the bash. The Khans' wedding anniversary is tomorrow and the guests at Duggu's party planned to bring in Gauri's shaadi ka saalgirah as well.

Zayed's better half Malaika also attended. Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun and Mehr Rampal, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan among others also attended.

Zayed's wife Malaika came dressed as a black magic woman. Chunky and Bhavna Pandey as Julius Caesar and Cleopatra, Sanjay Kapoor as Chulbul Pandey (from Dabangg) and Maheep as a summer fairy.

Riteish Deshmukh was dressed up as Robin Hood.

Uday Chopra was in the gangster mood, Mozez Singh in a combination of rocker Axl Rose meeting Jesus Christ and designer Ana Singh brought out her Hannah Montana persona. Seema Khan looked every bit a vampire.

Arjun Rampal rocked the Joker look (from the last Batman movie) as did his wife Mehr who went as Beatrix the Bride (Uma Thurman's character) from the Kill Bill films. Karan Johar came dressed as a priest.

Hrithik Roshan Confirmed for 'Agneepath' Remake

It's official. Karan Johar finally admits it is Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in the Agnipath remake.

Speaking officially for the first time about the casting of the Agneepath remake, Karan Johar coolly and cleverly passes on the buck to his novice director Siddharth Malhotra for Abhishek Bachchan's non-presence in the remake...a casting digression that jolted everyone who thought Abhishek was a natural and inevitable inheritor of the Agneepth role.

Says Karan: "When my father (late Yash Johar) produced Agneepath, he left everything to his director Mukul Anand and kept completely away from the project. I'm carrying on the family tradition."

"The casting for the 'Agneepath' remake was decided by the director Siddharth Malhotra. He decided on Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra. Why Hrithik and not Abhishek? I think Siddharth has his own ideas on how to present the character. I think the protagonist in the new Agneepath would be very different from how he was in the original."

The script for the new Agneepath is also entirely revamped. Priyanka Chopra won't play a nurse, like Madhavi had done in the original. And Mithun Chakraborty's character from the original has been done away with completely.

If there was any tension about the Bachchan scion Abhishek not even being approached for the remake of Agneepath, it was wiped away Wednesday and Thursday last week at the Haute Couture Week where it was crystal-clear that the Bachchans still treated Karan as part of their family.

At Manish Malhotra's fashion show Wednesday night, Abhishek, more baffled than hurt by not even being asked to do the Agneepath remake, walked up and warmly hugged Karan. The following evening, Karan coaxed the original Agneepath protagonist Amitabh Bachchan to walk the ramp with star of the remake Hrithik Roshan, thereby putting an end to all speculation within the film industry about a strain between the Bachchan parivar and Karan over the Agneepath issue.

Says Karan emotionally: "The Bachchans and my family go back a long way. Our association is not on a film-to-film basis. It doesn't matter how many films we work in or don't work in. For the record I will be doing at least 10 more films with Abhishek in my lifetime. He has already done two films with our banner Dharma Productions. He's doing Dostana 2 next year."

Guzaarish First Promo: The first promo of Guzaarish, the much awaited Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie is here. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Monikangana Dutta, Shernaz Patel, Rajit Kapoor. Hrithik Roshan plays a magician in the movie.

The opening shot of the promo introduces a bearded quadriplegic, wheelchair bound patient Ethan (Roshan) growing increasingly frustrated by a fly circling his face, before reflecting back to beautifully shot memories of movement, of music and of dance.

Aishwarya Rai is in the role of a nurse bathing Ethan, the actress casually lighting a cigarette in an open-topped car, before coughing and choking, and abandoning all attempts at playing it cool. Guzaarish is scheduled to release worldwide November 19.

Video of Hrithik Roshan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Unveil Guzaarish - Hrithik Roshan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan share their experience of working with the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his upcoming movie GUZAARISH!


The movie will revolve around the story of a married nurse (Aishwarya Rai) and a quadriplegic, wheelchair-using patient Ethan (Hrithik Roshan), suffering from impairments of the motor and sensory functions of his limbs, with whom she develops an intimate bond. The first schedule for the film began in July 2009. The production was completed in April 2010.


It has been reported that both Hrithik and Aishwarya have sung a song for the movie together. The song is composed by Bhansali himself. This will not be the first time when Hrithik sings for a movie. He has already sung a song in his last film Kites. The pair was said to have learned Portuguese for the movie as well, which was primarily shot in Goa and studios in Mumbai, India. Hrithik also sported a beard for the role.

First Look of Hrithik Roshan in Guzaarish Pictures

Hrithik Roshan plays a paraplegic magician in the film Guzaarish, directed by Sanjay Leela Bansali. The film co-stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The first promo of Guzaarish is expected to be unveiled in theatres along with the Ranbir-Priyanka starrer Anjaana Anjaani on September 24.

Hrithik Roshan plays a magician in the film hence the look with the hat. Besides Hrithik and Aishwarya Bachchan, the film also stars newcomer model Monikangana Dutta. Another USP of the film is the fact that the music of the film has been composed by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself.

Hrithik Roshan Likely to Play Both Hero and Anti-Hero/Villain in Krrish 2

All you Krrish fans, listen up. The buzz is that Rakesh Roshan’s sequel to the superhit film will have his son Hrithik play both the bad and the good guy. So, even fans of Hrithik, who loved his negative character in Dhoom 2 and were disappointed to hear that he won’t play one in Dhoom 3, can also look forward to Krrish 2.

According to a source, Hrithik will portray a positive and a negative character in the sequel. Both these characters will have equal powers. Says the source, “Both may be clones of each other. This would give the film a very interesting dimension and will take it to the next level.”

Earlier, the buzz was that Shah Rukh Khan would play the villain. The source adds, “Frankly, Krrish 2 is in the early stages now. Moreover, Rakesh is currently holidaying in Europe. He will meet Hrithik there, who has just finished shooting for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The script of Krrish 2 will get locked only next month after Rakesh returns to India. The final call on the negative role will be taken only then.”

It seems papa Roshan is leaving no stone unturned in refurbishing his son’s career after Kites came soaring down with a thud. But even while casting Hrithik in a negative role, Rakesh has added a different hue to his character. The source explains, “Krrish 2 requires a villain who has the heart of a child.” Krrish 2 will be the third installment of the Koi Mil Gaya franchise and will be laden with heavy-duty special effects.

But the writer of Krrish 2, Robin Bhatt, prefers to be secretive about Hrithik’s double role. Denying the news, Robin said, “How can Hrithik play three roles in the same film? We are carrying forward the father-son legacy of Krrish into Krrish 2. The negative role will be essayed by a very big star.”

Rakesh Roshan chose not to comment on the story. His energies are surely being channelised elsewhere.

YASH CHOPRA had approached Aamir Khan to play the negative lead role in the blockbuster Darr. Aamir declined and Shah Rukh Khan essayed that role. More often than not, superstars refuse to play baddies; obviously they want to keep their spic image in place. And we hope that the Roshan don’t do a U-turn on their current strategy.

Salman Khan was previously offered Baazigar, before SRK played that role.

IIFA Awards 2010 Charity Cricket Match Will Have Hrithik Roshan and Sunil Shetty as Captains

IIFA Awards 2010 cricket match will see Hrithik Roshan and Sunil Shetty as captains. In the upcoming International Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2010, that will be held in Colombo from June 3, 2010, to June 5, 2010, Bollywood stars/celebrities and Sri Lankan cricket team will have a friendly cricket match for charity.

The money collected from the match will be used to rehabilitate former LTTE soldier's children.

Hrithik Roshan and Sunil Shetty will lead the two celebrity teams while Kumara Sangakkara will lead the Sri Lankan cricket team.

About the friendly cricket match, at a press meet Hrithik Roshan said, “ I am actually very delighted and very, very proud to be part of team IIFA. Colombo here we come,….It is indeed a great honour to play with the Sri Lankan cricketing greats and my friends in the fraternity. I support the initiative of 'Cricket for Children' and IIFA Hands for Humanity and hope to put in my best efforts as a captain of a team towards the noble cause.”

Sunil Shetty who would lead the other team said, “I am very, very excited about the matches because I am very passionate about the sport.”

Bollywood celebrities who would play in the team are- Salman Khan and Dino Morea and ex-cricketers Vinod Kambli and Kiran More.

On the contrary, the Sri Lanka team will have Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan and Mahila Jayawardene.
