Sajid Nadiadwala signs Brandon Routh of Superman Fame for Kambakht Ishq

Looks like Sajid Nadiadwala is leaving no stone unturned to make his film, Kambakht Ishq, exclusive and a treat to watch. After roping in Hollywood biggies like Slyvester Stallone and Denise Richards to play a part in his film, he has now cast Brandon Routh of Superman fame. Some very vital action scenes were picturised between Brandon and Akshay Kumar in LA, last month.

Our source from the unit said, “Brandon and Akshay had to do a stunt together, and both the actors insisted on doing the stunt themselves instead of having a body-double. Akshay plays the part of a stunt man who plays body-double to many top stars from Hollywood. In fact Brandon was surprised to note that even Bollywood stars do their own stunts.”

When contacted, Sajid spoke to us from Venice. He said, “We roped in Sylvester as we needed a Hollywood star from the generation of Rocky and Rambo, but since we needed another Hollywood star from today's generation, we thought of Brandon. We were told that he is very fastidious and does not sign any film easily. Fortunately for us, he agreed to do the film. Though it took about two months to get him on board, the wait was well worth it. We shot with him in July for about five days in LA.”

When we asked Sajid if he had paid him a huge amount, as reported, he said, “Today everybody is expensive. Forget the stars, even the film tickets are costly. I want to give my audience their money's worth. Brandon plays himself in the film and the best part was both Brandon and Akshay got along like a house on fire. It was nice to see them talking and behaving like best buddies.”
