Ex Wife of Mahesh Bhupathi, Shvetha Jaishankar Marries Raghu Kailas a Day After Him On 20th Feb

Mahesh’s ex wife ties the knot the next day on 20th Feb 2011

Mahesh Bhupathi With Ex Wife
Shvetha Jaishankar

As tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi walked the aisle with actor Lara Dutta last week (Their Church wedding was on 19th Feb 2011), so did his ex-wife, model Shvetha Jaishankar. Shvetha, in fact, chose just the morning after Mahesh’s wedding to tie the knot with Chennai-based boyfriend, Raghu Kailas. Shvetha Jaishankar's wedding with Raghu Kailas took place on the 20th of this month. Raghu is a successful businessman who runs an export firm called Ucal Exports in Chennai.

“We have married. We will be sending a statement later,” Kailas told HT.

Picture: Raghu Kailas

Says Shvetha, “It was an intimate and an immensely special occasion for me to marry Raghu in the presence of our families and closest friends. 2010 was very defining for me and I feel lucky to have met the person with whom I share a strong bond of time and togetherness, shared values and enduring love. I now begin a new and special journey.”

In an earlier interview Shvetha had said, “I am fortunate to find someone special and nice like him (Kailas). He is affectionate and makes me laugh. He cooks for me and is from the same community, so it is nice and comfortable with him.”

Shvetha and Mahesh, who were married for seven years, went through a bitter divorce in July 2010, after Mahesh told Shvetha he wanted out. Shvetha had alleged that Lara-Mahesh dated while Mahesh was still married, and that he could do to Lara what he did to her.

Deepika Padukone in Dum Maaro Dum Item Song/Number

The pictures of Deepika Padukone's new item number in Rohan Sippy's Dum Maaro Dum are out, and the actress looks quite hot in them.

Initially, Dips was supposed to wear a short skirt for the song but her dance movements looked very awkward. The actress apparently requested Rohan Sippy to consider a change of dress. So designer Anahita Adajania Shroff changed her mini to hot pants with tassels.

Deepika is the film's poster girl even though Dum Maaro Dum stars Bipasha Basu, Abhishek Bachchan and Prateik Babbar. Below are photos of Deepika Padukone from her item number in Dum Maaro Dum.

Dum Maaro Dum item Song/number With Deepika Padukone

Deepika's demand to change her costume for the Dum Maaro Dum song

For her item number in Dum Maaro Dum, Deepika Padukone was to wear an Anahita Adajania Shroff outfit — a sexy bikini halter- top paired with the shortest skirt she’s ever designed.

Dippy was aware of this and had worked hard to get into shape so she could fit into the ensemble. However, the skirt was too short for her. The actress got it changed to shorts in stead.

A source explains the need for the change, “ The skirt Anahita designed barely covered the actress’s derriere yet looked stunning on her. During trials, DP received several compliments.

Director Rohan Sippy had briefed her and she understood that the song needed sexy clothes. The trouble began when she started rehearsing for the song. The steps were difficult to do because of the skirt’s length.” Rohan had the option to change the dance steps to make her feel comfortable in the skirt. However, Deepika insisted they keep the choreography and switch from skirt to shorts instead.

Adds the source, “ She walked up to Rohan and told him there was no way she could move her legs and do the steps in the skirt. A consensus was reached and the outfit was changed soon after. The actress ended up wearing shorts and tassels over it to look like a skirt.”

First Look Pictures of Shahrukh Khan in DON 2

The long hands of the law have finally caught up and landed the most wanted man in prison. Here’s a first look at Shah Rukh Khan in the Malaysia schedule of Don 2.

Shahrukh Khan has been currently filming for the sequel of DON in Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi. Here’s looking at the Don in a Malaysian jail

First Look of Shahrukh Khan in DON 2

Says a unit source, “ The sequences being filmed have the cops tail him and arrest the Don. This has left his folks bewildered as they firmly believed in his dictum: “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi namumkim hai.” Ace up his sleeve? Adds the source, “Obviously, there is an ace up his sleeve because the Don has already masterminded a prison break.” SRK who shot with several local Malaysian artistes had to indulge in a lot of physically taxing sequences. He had to take on the inmates of the jail – those who dared to question how he landed up behind the high walls.

Photos From The Sangeet Ceremony Of Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi in Goa

The newly married couple, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupati celebrated their wedding sangeet ceremony in Goa on 18th February 2011 in the famous Club Fresh, Candolim.

The sangeet ceremony was organised soon after their civil marriage (Pictures Here >>), earlier this week. The sangeet was followed by a church wedding (Pictures Here >>) on 19th Feb 2011 in Goa

At the sangeet Mahesh Bhupathi danced on the song Dus bahane kar ke le gayi dil… for his bride. The groom, looking dapper in a Manav Gangwani chudidaar, joined his friends as they grooved to Crazy kiya re… from Dhoom 2. The gorgeous bride glowed in a Gangwani designed orange and gold lehenga, and an uncut diamond necklace with a maang teeka created by Anmol Jewellers.

Interestingly, the couple indulged in a friendly competition of sorts against each other as Bhupathi chose 10 Bollywood chartbusters to dance to while Dutta had picked about a dozen popular Bollywood songs. Mr and Mrs Bhupathi also specially danced to Zoobi zoobi… from 3 Idiots after Dutta showed off her moves to Munni badnaam hui…, Sheila ki jawani… and Desi girl.... The entire gathering cheered when the couple exchanged a kiss at the ceremony.

Mahesh looked very dapper in a black tuxedo, but it was Lara who drew gasps as she entered the venue. Lara looked absolutely stunning in an off-white form-fitting creation by Elie Saab. The all-lace outfit with a 10 metre train held up with a diamond tiara was offset by the flower girls in a matching shade.

The highlight of the evening was the two exchanging their vows. 36 year old, Bhupathi, said "Lara, when I first met you, this day was a dream. Today it is reality. When I'm on the tour, not a day goes by without me wishing I was home with you instead, so even when I'm gone I am with you." Further adding, "you are my companion, partner and best friend. I promise to stick by you through hits and flops. I look forward to growing old with you."

Lara Dutta, 32, could not hold back as she expressed her feelings for Mahesh, and tears came rolling down her eyes. She said, 'I promise to return your serves and volley alongside you. I will be with you through our many wins and occasional loss."

Mahesh and Lara, were married in a civil function earlier in the week in Bandra, they had a sangeet ceremony last evening, and a Christian wedding today, followed by an evening of dining and dancing.
