Rumors: Freida Pinto Could Star in Dhoom 3 Opposite Aamir Khan

While the grapevine is buzzing with gossip of Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra or Katrina Kaif landing the role opposite Aamir Khan in Aditya Chopra's Dhoom:3, Another gossip is that Freida Pinto could be approched by Aditya Chopra to star opposite Aamir to create a new sensational pairing.

It will be interesting to see if Freida, who has still not been seduced to do a Bollywood movie by any of our makers, would see her big debut come opposite Aamir. A top source reveals, "There is a possibilty that Freida might debut in Bollywood with Dhoom:3.

Aditya is quite keen to approach her for the role. As of now the actresses haven't been finalised and so the casting process is only gaining momentum. It is a known fact the Freida was very much on the radar for the Bond film and since Dhoom too has become a franchise now, they might as well root to have as many headline makers as possible.

Plus, Freida and Aamir will be an interesting fresh pairing. As of now we can only wait and watch if Freida will get signed for Dhoom 2, piping leading actresses of Bollywood. People close to Yash Raj Films said that they have not started casting the girl.

Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor May be Cast Together in a Yash Raj Film

In Bollywood, producers and directors are always looking for a magical cast that will deliver a hit. Yash Raj Films and Aditya Chopra, having finally convinced Anil Kapoor and his daughter Sonam to work together in a film, achieved a casting coup which earlier Rakeysh Mehra failed to do in Delhi 6 .

Anil Kapoor doesn’t deny the buzz. He says, “Aditya has narrated an idea for me and Sonam in a film together. And I really, really like it. In fact, this is the first time that I’ve liked something which has been offered to both of us.”

Refusing to divulge any more details, Anil says, “I can’t tell you if it’s the role of father-daughter. But I can tell you that ideally when I do a film with Sonam, I don’t want us to be cast in real-life roles.”

Anil further reveals that he came close to sharing screen space with Sonam recently. “I was supposed to do a role in Anees Bazmi’s Thank You which Sonam is doing. At that time, Katrina Kaif was supposed to do the part. Once Sonam stepped in, I opted out. I wanted our combination to be really special when it happened.”

There was another reason why Anil opted out of Thank You . Anil’s role was that of Akshay Kumar’s buddy who encourages him to be flirtatious. “All I will say is, it was a role I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing with Sonam in the picture,” says Anil.

At the moment Anil is gearing up for a couple of months of intense competition with his own daughter. “That’s right,” he chuckles. “My home production Aisha with Sonam will be released in August, at the same time that my series 24 will be aired in India. We’re promoting 24 like any big film. You could say it’s Sonam versus me.”

Anil adds that Aisha was not designed for Sonam. “It was an idea that Sonam and my younger daughter Rhea came up with. If I hadn’t liked it, I wouldn’t have produced it. In our production company, no film will be made to provide a chance to any of us. If I wanted to do that, I’d have produced a film for Sonam as a launch vehicle and not handed her over to Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”

Preity Zinta and Aamir Khan to Create Magic in YRF’s Next

Dil chahta hai, again

If all goes well, Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta will star together in Yash Chopra’s next. While Preity has taken the signing amount from the Yash Raj camp, Aamir is in advanced talks with YRF. Our source from YRF said, “The script penned down by Yash Chopra is ready. And like all Chopra films, this one promises to be a romantic too. And as seen in earlier films directed by Yash Chopra it is the heroine who plays a crucial role in it. The story demanded a heroine exuding absolute purity and innocence and Yash Chopra has roped in Preity for it. The story encapsulates the journey of two strangers who meet and share deep love in old age too.”

Our source added, “Preity has already doled out dates for this yet-untitled film. Yash Chopra plans to start shooting in July and finish shooting in one schedule. The film is expected to hit the theatres in December.”

Yash Chopra has Aamir Khan in mind for the male lead. Our source said, “There are talks on with Aamir currently. Yash Chopra was impressed with the magic that Aamir and Preity had created in Dil Chahta Hai. Therefore he is keen to have the two in this film.”

Uday Chopra Will be Re-Re-Launched by Yash Raj Films in a Love Story Directed by Jugal Hansraj

Jugal Hansraj has been given the responsibility of resurrecting Uday Chopra’s flagging career. A source close to Yash Raj Films said, “Aditya Chopra is extremely fond of Jugal. He has given him roles in Hum Tum, Aaja Nachle and several other Yash Raj films and also encouraged Jugal to turn director (Roadside Romeo). Now when the family is concerned about Uday’s career, Aditya has given Jugal the responsibility to do the needful.”

The film will be launched early next year and will be a very unusual love story. According to a close friend of the Chopras, “Yash Raj is done with conventional films. Now Aditya Chopra is looking at doing path-breaking work with directors who would like to grow with the Yash Raj empire and not just use the banner as a stepping stone.”

This film requires an ultra-glamorous leading lady. Apparently Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have been approached.

Jugal Hansraj said, “It’s too early to talk about the film. It’s still in the planning stage. I’ll talk about it once everything is in place.”
