Following credits were taken both from original US LP release and 2009 CD reissue. 2) CD reissue comes with no musician credits for bonus tracks: since the Sly & The Family Stone cover (track 11) shares same production credits with the album tracks Lee originally played on (Mike Post), it can be inferred it is from the same recording sessions and that Lee is a player on that track as well. 3) According to reissue notes and some web resources, original US catalog # for LP was AHL1-3852. Other web resources indicate US catalog # as AAL1-3852. The latter is the number of my copy and it is a US vinyl reissue probably from 1980 and in any case pre-bar code. 4) Additional reissue credits erroneously indicate track 10 as an a-side while it was in fact the b-side of the “But You Know I Love You” single. 5) Stylist Michele Elam’s name is spelled ‘Michelle’ in CD reissue credits. 6) Makeup artist Bobbe Joy’s name is spelled ‘Bobbie’ in CD reissue credits. 7) CD reissue the additional credits were taken from is a EU pressing. According to web sources catalog # for US release is the same. 8) CD reissue comes with a lyrics booklet with same illustrations as original inner sleeve and back of cover, plus four B&W stills taken from the Colin Higgins film “9 to 5”, depicting Ms. Parton and other cast members Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda and Dabney Coleman.

“Never having acted in a film before, Dolly Parton was initially reluctant to star in “9 to 5”, alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Her debut acting experience, though, not only helped the success of the movie, but it created a #1 hit single for Parton, who wrote the theme song, also called “9 to 5.” The song garnered Parton an Academy Award® nomination and four Grammy Award® nominations, winning her the awards for “Best Country Song” and “Best Country Vocal Performance, female,” and was the centerpiece of Parton’s “9 to 5 and Odd Jobs” album, originally released in late 1980. The album, containing several Parton originals and a #1 cover of the First Edition’s “But You Know I Love You,” as well as a version of Woody Guthrie’s “Deportee,” eventually hit #1 on the Billboard country chart. This Expanded Edition also features 3 bonus tracks, 2 of which have been previously unreleased.”.
