Robot (Hindi) Has Poor First Weekend Collections at the Box Office

Robot (Hindi) could not make much impact at the box office as it grossed around 7 crore nett box office collections in its opening weekend.

Robot had first day business of around 1.75 crore nett only. The film did better on Saturday and Sunday but the big jump in collections was not there. The collections were mainly from Mumbai circuit (3.25 crore nett) and CPCI (1 crore nett). The North remained very dull.

The shows of Endhiran (Tamil) were much better be it Mumbai, Delhi or Gurgaon but it was a very limited release.

Overall Robot (Hindi) has not done well especially if we look at the release which was pretty wide. It will have to depend on the weekdays and second weekend if it is to put up a decent final total.

Robot had poor first day business of around 1.75 crore nett. Most of the business came from the Maharashtra belt as North India performed badly and South has the regional versions of the film which left little space for the Hindi version.

The film does actually have good reviews from most places but as start is low it will be interesting if the film can actually translate the good reports into good collections.

The original Tamil version of Robot, Endhiran took a monumental opening in Tamil Nadu and has extraordinary reports and will emerge the highest grossing Tamil film ever. It is to be seen if the film manages to recover its huge prodution costs and becomes a hit.
