Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra who have an apartment in the world's tallest building Burj Khalifa in Dubai celebrated their wedding anniversary there. The Kundras hosted a party for family and friends as they rang-in the New Year. Some bollywood celebs who attended the Anniversary cum New Year's bash were Shamita Shetty, Amisha Patel and Madhavan with his wife Sarita Birje. Shilpa married Raj Kundra on 22 November 2009.

Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra Returning To Mumbai After Shilpa’s Birthday Celebrations in Macau

"It's (Macau) got everything I like... Shopping, shows, spas, great food and casinos... Sin city! This is going to be a sinful trip," she had tweeted upon reaching the city.

The couple returned to Mumbai after celebrating Shilpa’s birthday in Macau on 8th June 2010.

Shilpa Shetty had a wonderful time on her birthday, thanks to husband Raj Kundra, who had planned a surprise trip to celebrate the day which fell on Tuesday, 8th June 2010.

"Birthday rocked! Raj made it very special and so did all of you... actually feel blessed, feels great to be loved! OK back to shopping now," Shilpa, who turned 35 Tuesday, posted on her Twitter page.

Raj planned a trip for Shilpa and both of them left for Hong Kong Monday, but she didn't know until then that their final destination was Macau.

"It's (Macau) got everything I like... Shopping, shows, spas, great food and casinos... Sin city! This is going to be a sinful trip," she had tweeted upon reaching the city.

Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra To Launch a Football League ?

After doing reasonably well as co-owners of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty might be launching an international football league along the lines of IPL soon this year.


Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra already own an IPL cricket team, and it is possible that they might be adding a new game to their business empire. Rumours are that the couple plan to launch a football league which will be owned by celebs and private companies. Indian and international footballers will be part of the league. Apparently Shilpa is keen to promote the game, and also provide opportunities to footballers across the country.

Says a source close to the couple, "It will be a private football league (by invitation only). Six elite corporates and six A-List celebrities will co-own the football teams. The league will be christened the Football India Cup.

Talks are on with the All India Football Federation to be affiliated with them. Team owners will buy international footballers. Retired footballers at the top of their form may also be included. There will be four international footballers and seven Indian ones for each team."

Raj and Shilpa are waiting for a window to be given to launch the football league. Only the letter in intent has been signed. The source adds, "Raj has always been extremely passionate about football and has wanted to form a league along international lines for some time now. He wants to improve the infrastructure for the Indian youth. Shilpa's hubby hopes that one day India will have 11 football players who will win us the World Cup."

The source says, "In fact, last year, he even met AIFF general secretary, Alberto Colaco and discusssed development projects, football competitions, the general football structure and the opportunities available in India.

Moreover, Shilpa and Raj are good friends of Praful Patel, AIFF president. It is hoped that with his involvement, the sport will be encouraged now. Football is huge in India and Britain. Kundra feels it's good to encourage another sport. For him, it's not another business. There are 300,000 registered footballers in India. The football league will offer them all job opportunities."

Who knows, with Shilpa's connections, David Beckham might be part of her planned football league!

Shilpa Shetty’s IPL team, the Rajasthan Royals, are having a spectacular turnaround in this year’s edition of the IPL tournament. At the match played at Ahmedabad today (March 28), her team defeated the Chennai Super Kings by 17 runs. The Royals scored 178, while Super Kings could only manage 160/6.

After three losses in a row, her team has now won four consecutive matches. And what’s the secret to this dramatic change of fortunes? According to Shilpa, it’s prayers. She tweeted before the match, “At the stadium, RR vs CSK. Sweaty palms not the heat jus excited..pl do wat u do best,Pray!:)its been workin,and how!:)”

After designer Manoviraj Khosla showcased his Spring-Summer collection, the party began with a bang. Some even said that the second after-match party was better than the first. The guests danced to Bollywood music.

The young brigade of RCB, including Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey and Virat Kohli were there with great gusto. Rajasthan Royals’ star Yusuf Pathan and his team members were engrossed in checking the models sashaying the ramp.

The gathering also had Virat Kohli’s ‘friend’— actress Sanjana walk into the party. After cheering on the team in the stadium, Ramya too came in for a short while. But the showstealers were Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty. Both were wearing classic black outfits and they didn’t let the defeat affect their mood. The bonding of the owners with the team members was quite evident with the way Rajasthan Royals’ player Sidharta Trivedi whispered into Shipa Shetty’s ears.

Jacques Kallis, the man of the match, was present with his girlfriend. However, it was Shane Warne who was surrounded by a number of female admirers. According to a source, the party went on till 4.30 am.
